Science: B6 have had a great time this term. We have been working on various experiments which have included making a volcano, measuring temperatures and making plastic.

Independent Living skills: Caleb & Vianna have been going to IGA in Kalamunda to buy the ingredients for our cooking classes on Thursday. The class has then made some very enjoyable post-lunch treats such as Ham and Cheese scones, Baked Frittata, Potato and Bacon Salad and Fried Rice.

In B6 we concentrate on healthy living styles. We have been concentrating on making healthy foods and doing exercise. Each week we have one period of Yoga. We start with various stretching and balancing exercise, and finish with a wonderfully relaxing short meditation.
A highlight of the term has been participating in “Pancake Tuesday”. Money from the sale of pancakes is given back to the Uniting Care program. We made over 70 pancakes on the day, and with a gold coin donation, were able to raise $71 during recess. The pancakes purchased by ESC and mainstream students.
